Only three episodes into season 29 of the Bachelor, Lead Grant Ellis was faced with five fighting women, three celebrity cameos and one medical emergency. This episode will likely be one of the most tense of the season — so hold tight.

Episode highlights
In week two, there was a basketball and musical themed group date, two of Grant’s passions. This episode kicked off with a date centered around his third special interest: finance.
This date featured the first cameo of the day; Shark Tank’s Daniel Lubetzky and Hannah Berner, a popular Tik Tok stand-up comedian.
“I’m gonna be honest I have no idea why I’m here on this date,” Hannah said.
During the date, Hannah and Daniel asked the women finance questions. The contestant with the best answer to each prompt was given “Grant Bucks.” The women with the most Grant Bucks at the end of the date could spend them on special activities with Grant that night.
Hannah, who claimed to know nothing about money, rewarded the funniest answers, rather than the most practical ones. Bailey, being familiar with Hannah’s stand-up, won a lot of Grant Bucks by catering to her humor. Zoe, on the other hand, was visibly upset that her rule-following answers were not being recognized.
Important reminder: Last episode Zoe was heavily criticized by the other women in the house because she pulled Grant aside for an extended period of time in the middle of a group date.
When Zoe complained about not feeling recognized by Grant during the finance game, some of the girls felt annoyed — especially Serafiena, which is where we get the much awaited Dressgate.
“That’s the shortest dress I’ve ever seen in my entire life,” Serafiena commented.
Zoe told Grant about the comment, but refused to name the perpetrator, a common trope on the show. Despite tattling, she chose to fight this battle herself.
“Are you the b**** who said my dress was too short?” Zoe clapped back.
Away from the drama, Juliana steals a private moment with Grant, and wow — he is so attracted to her. Just watch it for yourself, please.
The next day, Carolina and Grant hop on a private jet to Las Vegas, NV for their one-on-one date.

“Should we just get married in Vegas?” Carolina asked as they jetted away.
Grant was aghast by this proposition, acting like this is the first he’s thought about marriage, despite the fact that the show ends in an engagement.
The pair had a fun day, creating secret handshakes and jumping from the Strat Hotel. If I had a dime for every time The Bachelor and his date jumped from someplace high, I would be so rich.
The other woman selected for a one-on-one date was Beverly, but unfortunately the day before the date Beverly was sent to the hospital and inevitably went home to deal with her health issues.
However, the show must go on. Grant chose three women who impressed him on the group date — Litia, Dina and Serafiena — to join him on the date that was meant for Beverly.
The small group went to an animal shelter in Los Angeles, grooming the animals with help from reality television star Lisa Vanderpump. Yes, that’s another celebrity cameo.

Out of the three ladies, Grant chose to have a private dinner with Litia. They were able to open up about their family life, and Grant surprised Litia by facetiming her mom.
Back in the mansion, all was not well. After her one-on-one, Carolina was feeling a little anxious about Grant spending time with other women, presumably because she had developed real feelings that warrant jealousy.
“I almost wish I didn’t have that date,” Carolina said.
The other women who have not had as much time with Grant were frustrated with her comment.
Off camera, Rose mentioned that last week Grant told her that he was thinking about her while he was dancing with Carolina on the group date. This made Caroline feel very insecure about Grant’s feelings for her.
At the final cocktail party, which was actually a prom themed party attended by four contestants from the Golden Bachelorette, Carolina decided to confront Grant. He firmly denied that he ever said that and proceeded to interrogate Rose about the situation.
“That’s something that I thought I heard you said,” Rose said.
Grant replied, “Now why would I say that?”
Let’s roll back the tapes, shall we?
“I’m very interested in you,” Grant told her in a private moment last week. “Like even today, right? You know, with the whole dancing thing on stage and everything, I was thinking about you.”
The Bachelor was likely referring to a group dance the girls did, attempting to reassure her that she was being noticed in group settings. However, Rose assumed that he was thinking about her even when he was dancing with another woman. She was delusional, but not lying.
The girls were upset that this drama took up most of the Prom, but in the meantime Jack from the Golden Bachelorette taught everyone how to make the best burgers, a serious plotline from his season.

Who went home?
-Alli Jo, 30, a boxing trainer from NJ: Considering most of her screentime consisted of snarky remarks towards the other women, I’m not really surprised.
-Bailey, 27, a social media manager from GA: If you were to tell me she was going home at the beginning of the episode, I would have believed you. However, I thought those “Grant Bucks” might have saved her for another week.
-Beverly, 30, an insurance salesperson from NY: Apparently she had to get her appendix removed, but she’s active on Instagram and seems to be feeling better!
-Chloie, 27, a model from NY: I knew her connection with Grant wasn’t the strongest, but I liked her a lot, so I was very sad to see her go.
Next week
We are left with 10 women competing for Grant’s heart and next week they will be traveling to Spain. I really hope that this next episode is less dramatic, because I never want to write this long of a Reality Check ever again.
