Cedar City’s concert lineup 2/10-2/14/26

Southern Utah is home to a lively local music scene. Here are some opportunities to get involved in it this week.

Tuesday, Feb. 10: 

The Johnson Arts Center at 59 N. 100 W. will present its weekly SokHop performance. Community members can gather to hear live local music for $5. This week’s bands are Outlaw and Split Persona. They will post-punk, metal and rock tunes starting at 7:15 p.m.

Cedar City Music Arts presents Due West in concert at 7:30 in the Heritage Center Theater, 105 N 100 W. Due West is an American country music group from Nashville, Tennessee. They’ve released two full-length studio albums, several EPs and five singles, including “Things You Can’t Do in a Car”, which charted at number 47 on Billboard Hot Country Songs. Members of Due West have also written songs for Bucky Covington and Lady Antebellum. Tickets are $30 for adults and $15 for students.

The Jazz Alliance of Cedar City will be performing their Valentine’s/Mardi Gras concert at Off the Cuff Comedy at 913 S. Main St. The February show will feature the house band playing tunes like “When I Fall in Love” and “It Had to Be You.” The show is free, open to the public and starts at 7 p.m. Refreshments and soulful melodies will be provided to attendees. 

Friday, Feb. 13: 

The SUU Commercial Music program presents A Million Dreams: Spring Showcase at 7 p.m. in the Heritage Center Theater, 105 N 100 E. It’s free and open to the public. Featuring Alternate Currents, Direct Currents, Commercial Breaks, Grupo Batuque do Trovão, Backyard Arcade and the SUU Choirs.

Saturday, Feb. 14:

The Valentine’s Day Dinner and Show held at Willow Glen Resort, at 3308 N. Bulldog Rd., will feature The Lonely Cactus Band at 6:30 p.m. Join for an evening of BBQ, music and a little country romance. Call to reserve a table (435) 592-3345.

At Southern Utah University’s Valentine’s Spring Swing Thing, there will be a dance lesson from 7 to 7:30 p.m., followed by a community dance and concert featuring the SUU Jazz Ensemble One from 7:30 to9:30 p.m. Admission is free, but donations are warmly welcomed to support the SUU Music Department and its commitment to fostering musical talent and providing exceptional cultural experiences.

Utah’s Runaway Fire will be performing live at Black Bird Bar, 90 West Hoover Ave., from 9 p.m. to midnight for their Valentine’s Day Rock Night. This is an ages 21 and up event, and a $5 cover fee will be charged at the door, 100% of the proceeds will go to the band. Stop by for the sweet sounds of alternative rock and roll.
