On week four of The Bachelor, Grant Ellis and his ten girlfriends took a flight to Spain, where they continued their journey to find love through bull fighting, bridge jumping and backstabbing.

Episode highlights
Though the episode was mainly filmed in Madrid, Spain, the opening footage consisted of leftover prom decorations in the Los Angeles Bachelor Mansion from last week’s “prom from hell.”
Jesse Palmer alerted the women, who were still rattled from the previous night’s drama, that they had one hour to pack their bags for Spain.
Upon their arrival, Grant met with the girls in Madrid’s city center and pulled Dina aside for some one-on-one time.
While jealousy reigned, the women were ultimately happy for Dina. One contestant even said, “Good day for her to wear that dress.”
The pair explored the city and ended the day with a romantic dinner. Dina cut straight to business, asking Grant why he ended his previous seven-year-relationship. Grant explained that it was because he was too focused on his career to give his ex-girlfriend the attention she needed.
I found this response quite convenient, considering just last week Dina told him that she is very career driven. Nonetheless, they really bonded over this.
The other women, aside from Sarafiena, met up with Grant the next day for a matador themed date.
Before the date began, Carolina was acting surprisingly upset for someone who had a one-on-one with Grant the week before.
“I can’t wait to share my man with a million other women,” she said sarcastically.
Carolina wasn’t the only one having a bad day.

“Today started really bad,” Parisa said. “I woke up and I had a pimple. I burned my chest earlier on my hair curler — it’s so ugly. It popped so I’m trying to cover it up with a necklace. My spray tan is like chipping — chipping! I didn’t even know a spray tan could do that.”
The biggest difference between the two girls is that Parisa was looking forward to the group date — Carolina was not.
The date featured real donkeys to transport them, matador training, bull riding and really ugly outfits.
The after-date-party featured some cute moments, like Grant giving Parisa a rock from the streets of Madrid. She loves rocks. However, it also had its fair share of drama, once again surrounding Carolina.
The other women grew fed up with her negativity, especially Juliana who pulled her aside to talk about it. By the time Grant walk
ed in to award the group date rose, a rose awarded to the girl who stood out most on the date and guarantees they will make it to the next week, Carolina was crying. The bachelor dealt with her drama and opted to not give the rose that night.

On a lighter note, Grant and Sarafiena went bridge jumping for their date. Grant revealed that he was scared of heights and Sarafiena comforted him.
Before this date, I personally didn’t see much chemistry between the two, and apparently neither could Grant. On the evening portion of their date, he shared that he noticed Sarafiena’s hesitancy when kissing him, and said he understood how scary it is to be vulnerable.
Sarafiena corrected him, “To be honest it’s because my mom’s watching.”
The drama returned at this week’s cocktail party. Grant pulled Juliana aside immediately, because Carolina had told him about their conversation, where Juliana voiced that she didn’t understand why Carolina was doubting the process.
Juliana stuck by what she said, explaining that she doesn’t think Grant deserves someone who is doubting him. To very little surprise, Grant is team Juliana. Like he’s so obsessed with her it’s not even funny.
Meanwhile, the girls were still hating on Carolina, and Rose was remind

ed of how upset she was over last week’s drama. After spiraling for about two minutes, she decides that this process is too much for her and self-eliminates.
Who went home?
–Natalie, 25, a PhD student from Kentucky: She seemed super sweet, but I haven’t seen her connect with Grant since week two so I’m not surprised.
-Rose, 27, a registered nurse from Chicago: Before last week, I had really high hopes for Rose. Although the miscommunication wasn’t entirely her fault, I think it showed that The Bachelor might not be the best fit for her.
-Parisa, 29, a pediatric behavior analyst from Michigan: Oh, where do I begin with Parisa. She was such a freak and I loved her, and it honestly hurts deeply to watch her go so early.
“Did I talk about my rocks too much?” she asked as she left.
No, Parisa. You were perfect.
Next week
The seven remaining women will be packing their bags once again, this time for Edinburgh, Scotland. The previews feature a romantic night of ballroom dancing and more Carolina drama — how shocking.
It’s likely that Grant will send home another three women next episode — I’m guessing Sarafiena, Dina and Carolina — leaving only four women left to compete for Grant’s heart. If that’s the case, then hometowns are just around the corner!
