Hello T-Birds! Cedar City has officially made it to the middle of February, despite the opposing weather. While it hasn’t been as warm as it has been in past weeks, Southern Utah has been experiencing higher temperatures than normal for this time of year.
These warmer temperatures have the potential to change at the beginning of next week however, as Monday, Feb. 16 currently holds a 68% chance of rain in the afternoon. While there is a high of 53 degrees Fahrenheit, that temperature will cool off quickly, as rain and snow is expected for the next two days. Wednesday is expected to have a high of 36 degrees and a 50% chance of snow.
This weather has the potential to make roads slippery and dangerous, so students are urged to drive cautiously and responsibly.
The weather is expected to clear up for the remainder of the week, with partly cloudy conditions throughout. The high for the rest of the week is set to be around 43 degrees, with a low of 18 degrees at night.
Wind speeds are expected to be an average 10 mph throughout the week and as high as 19 mph on Tuesday and Wednesday.
