First half
Southern Utah came out of the tipoff in rhythm, taking a 7-4 lead through the first four minutes. Transfer guard Dylan Jones then entered the game and made an instant impact. Jones hit two threes in a two minute span, giving SUU a 16-12 lead through the first six minutes of play.
After another made basket from Jones, Washington State responded with a 13-2 run over a two minute span to give the Cougars a five-point lead.
With five minutes remaining in the half, WSU went on a 15-5 run, hitting two threes and taking a 54-40 lead going into the break. Despite SUU being down 14, Jones was on fire with 19 points.
Second half

Not wanting to go down without a fight, SUU did a great job responding out of a timeout. The T-Birds went on a 13-5 run with Jaiden Feroah leading the charge. Feroah made a nice layup and corner three to keep SUU in contention.
With four minutes left in the game, Washington State buckled down and sealed the win with some strong defense and a potent presence in the paint. The Cougars would go on to win 98-74.
