The Southern Utah University Student Association (SUUSA) held their weekly senate meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 15 to go over current campus issues.
SUUSA is considering the addition of outdoor seating and increased outdoor lighting on the upper and lower quads to enhance the student experience. The committee is also exploring the idea of building a natural amphitheater in the upper quad.
After a lengthy discussion, SUUSA has decided to table the issue of designated smoking areas on campus. Students have already been surveyed, but the results were inconclusive. The committee will explore the issue further before reconvening at the next SUUSA meeting.
For those interested in becoming more involved on campus, SUUSA Senate meetings are held every Tuesday in the Sterling Church Auditorium at 11:30 .
