SUU is set to perform “Really Really,” a play originally written by Playwright Paul Downs Colaizzo, in the Blackbox of the Auditorium Theatre. SUU’s adaptation of “Really Really” is directed, produced and performed by SUU students in association with the SUU Blackbox Grants. The production is produced by Jessi Sommer, a junior theatre arts major from Las Vegas, and is under the direction of Tony Sloan, a graduate candidate of arts administration from Bullhead City, Arizona.
“Really Really”, is a play about college students and the accusation of a sexual assault at a college party. For this reason, some of the material and language used in the play may not be suitable for all. Viewer discretion is advised.
Sloan said people should come see the play because sexual assault is a problem on campus, and he hopes this play will help draw attention to it.
“It’s exactly what we need on this campus right now,” Sloan said.
Tickets for the performance can be purchased at the door for $5. Performances are set for Oct. 27 and 28 at 7:30 p.m. CAPS counselors Kristina Johnson and Andrea Donovan are going to give a special talk for anyone wanting to discuss the sexual assault situations showcased after Friday night’s production.
