Most Fun Friday is coming back on campus

Southern Utah University students can look forward to a full day of activities this Friday, April 17, with the Student Programming Board’s annual Most Fun Friday. The eventful day is held right before finals week to help students relax, recharge and enjoy the last bit of the semester.

The day will begin with Breakfast & Stuff-a-Plush from 8 to 10 a.m. in the Sharwan Smith Student Center Living Room. Pancakes, muffins, hot cocoa and more will be served, while participants will have the opportunity to stuff plush animal toys and win prizes. There will be 150 plushies available, distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

From noon to 2 p.m., the festivities will continue with the Campus Block Bash in the ballroom, featuring food trucks and additional activities for students.

“I encourage them to come and relax,” SPB Director Ella Hansen said. “Big prize giveaways and free food for those looking to get some free stuff.”

Later in the day, the All-In Bingo will take place in the Church Auditorium from 4 to 6 p.m. It’s a good way to try to win something and unwind before the big night dance.

The university’s famous Silent Disco dance will happen from 9 p.m. to midnight in the Student Center Ballroom. With three playlists to choose from, everyone will be able to select songs they like best and dance the night away before the final stretch.

“I am most excited to give away so many prizes and the silent disco since I haven’t been a part of one before,” she said.

With food, entertainment and opportunities to win prizes throughout the day, Most Fun Friday offers students a festive way to take a break before the semester ends.

This will be SBP’s last event of the year, but there will be more to come throughout the summer and fall.

If students would like to join and get involved, applications for the Student Involvement and Leadership Office are open until this Sunday, April 19. The organization oversees several branches and fields such as event planning, marketing, athletics, school spirit and more.

Don’t miss the opportunity and apply!
