“Pretty in Pink” Valentine’s show opens this Saturday at Kolob Gallery

Kolob Gallery is hosting a month-long event titled “Pretty in Pink,” with an opening reception this Saturday evening. This event includes mini paintings from several of the gallery’s featured artists.

The opening reception will be held on Saturday, Feb. 7, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Kolob Gallery inside the Art Center at 111 S. Main St. To start the month of Valentine’s, the exhibit invites the community to come together and enjoy refreshments with friends, fellow art lovers and local artists.

The display will include a beautiful collection of miniature paintings, which are for sale. Many of the paintings feature florals, making them a perfect gift for Valentine’s Day as a long-lasting alternative to bouquets.

In addition, Kolob Gallery is proud to feature Teri McHale as the Solo Artist for the month of February. A respected fiber artist known throughout Utah, McHale has worked in textiles since 2003. Her painted silk pieces are often pieced and appliquéd into organic forms inspired by nature, while her pieces contain both natural and spiritually influenced elements. Her work has been curated by national and international exhibitions, and she was recently recognized as an “Artist of Utah” at the Southern Utah Museum of Art.

The gallery is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The exhibit and sale run throughout February.
