The wait continues for local skiers and boarders for the 2025-2026 Brian Head ski season. Brian Head released an announcement on Nov. 11 stating that their opening day would be rescheduled to Friday, Nov. 21.
Brian Head had originally scheduled this season’s opening day for Friday, Nov. 7. Due to warm temperatures and lack of snowfall, the date was rescheduled to Nov. 14 in hopes that the weather would permit. Now, the resort has moved opening day to the following weekend.
Despite the delay, Brian Head will offer other events for those looking to visit the resort prior to ski season.
“To keep the excitement high, the resort will host a free, hike-to-rail competition on Saturday, Nov. 15, a week before lift operations begin,” said resort official, James Graven. “The event is open to all ages, free to enter and does not require a lift ticket.”
Temperatures are expected to see a drastic decline within the next week, which will hopefully mean long-term snow on the slopes just in time for opening day.
