Thunder 91.1 will offer Valentine’s radio-grams all week

In celebration of Valentine’s Day, Southern Utah University’s campus radio station Thunder 91.1 will be airing radio-grams for the student body. These free Valentine’s gifts will be available until Friday, Feb. 14.

The radio-grams will consist of an on-air shout out and song dedication for anyone of the sender’s choice. This is the second year  the station has offered these musical Valentine’s.

“I came up with the idea last February,” said Thunder 91.1 Promotions Director Amanda Flowers. “I’ve always liked the idea of doing the little mailbox- grams like in elementary school, so I figured ‘how can we apply this to Thunder 91?’”

These radio shoutouts were the solution, and after a successful Valentine’s season last year, the station has decided to do them again.

“Dedicating a song and a message to someone as a surprise is a great gift,” Flowers said.
