Non-Traditional Student Services Carnival Night brings the masquerade to SUU

Southern Utah University’s Non-Traditional Student Service Center will host a carnival night this Friday, March 8, in the Sharwan Smith Student Center Starlight Room. The event will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and will feature free food and games.

Attendees are encouraged to dress up for the activity, which is inspired by formal Venetian masquerade balls. Students will also get to design their own masks at the event. Traditional masquerade balls often used masks to ensure the anonymity of attendees, allowing them to express themselves freely.

The Non-Traditional Student Service Center is an organization that provides personalized support for students that are attending college under unusual circumstances. These circumstances include, but are not limited to, coming to SUU after three or more years away from school, having dependent children or being married, widowed or divorced.
