The Southern Utah University Student Association (SUUSA) held their weekly senate meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 12 to go over current campus issues.
SUUSA will host Campus Connect on Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom.
The Senate granted funding to SUU’s Ska Club to cover the cost of their performances.
SUUSA approved budgeting for the Agriculture Club to take a trip to Bakersfield, California. The trip will give students an opportunity to explore career opportunities in their field.
The Senate granted funding for SUU business students to attend the Distributive Education Clubs of America conference on Feb. 21-22.
The Welcome Center is hosting Leadership Weekend on Feb. 22-23. Candidates will be chosen to fill spots in the following SUU organizations: Presidential Ambassadors, SUUSA, Community Attaches, Leavitt Center, College of Science and Engineering Board and International Ambassadors. Applications for the event are closed.
For those interested in becoming more involved on campus, SUUSA Senate meetings are held every Tuesday in the Sterling Church Auditorium at 11:30 a.m.
