The Southern Utah University Student Association (SUUSA) held their weekly meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 30 to go over current campus issues.
SUUSA is preparing for 2019 Spring orientation. They are expecting 270 new students next semester.
Campus Connect will hold a Halloween party tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ballroom. There will be pumpkin painting and free pizza.
SUUSA is planning a Veteran’s Day banquet that will be held on Friday, Nov. 9.
The Black Student Union is holding a Mardi Gras event in the Ballroom on Saturday, Nov. 10.
SUUSA denied funding for the communications and music department’s campus initiative t-shirts.
The committee approved funding of $95 per player for the men’s hockey club registration fees. The hockey club was also granted funding for equipment charges.
SUUSA also approved funding for theatre students to take a trip to New York to learn about directing theatre productions.
For those interested in becoming more involved on campus, SUUSA Senate meetings are held every Tuesday in the Sterling Church Auditorium at 11:30 a.m.
