CEDAR CITY, Utah — On Tuesday Oct. 30, SUU held its monthly Campus Connect in the Student Center Ballroom.
The event was hosted by the Student Programming Board (SPB) and the SUU Student Association, offering a chance for students to get know different clubs on campus. The event is held every month, with different clubs represented at each event so students can be introduced to multiple aspects of campus life.
“We want to get students introduced to numerous clubs on campus by hosting some fun little booths that they can enjoy–and, of course, food,” stated junior Hector Sanchez of SUUSA. “It’s just meant to be a great time.”
The fall themed campus connect had table activities ranging from pumpkin painting to henna tattoos and encouraged students to try their hand at some games. SUUSA and SPB also held a challenge for students to do every activity at the event. If completed, they were entered in a drawing to win swag from the SUU Bookstore.
“We wanted to get clubs who hadn’t really been featured in our events lately,” senior Jonas Lungstrass of SUUSA said.
The event hosted clubs such as the International Student Ambassadors, the Native American Student Association and Wish Upon A Star, a club offering hospital volunteering.
The next campus connect will be held after Thanksgiving Break in November. Anyone interested in contacting SUUSA or SPB can find them on Tbird Connection or by going to the Student Involvement and Leadership office in the Student Center, room 177.
