Oct. 10 – Students splashed into SUU’s Homecoming Week Wednesday night at the Dive-In Movie. The school showed Incredibles 2 along with Ant-man and the Wasp while students floated on paddle boards, pool noodles, and giant inflatable donut tubes.
More families with small children attended the first movie which showed at 5, while more students attended the second movie at 7:30.
“I’ve never seen so many floaties, and that’s saying a lot since I was a lifeguard!” said Blake Jessen, a business student from Ogden who was in attendance.
A few splash wars were waged, and students who had gotten a hold of the paddle boards tried to see who could stay on them the longest as laughter filled the building.
“I don’t think anyone here is actually watching the movie,” Emily Bingham, an education major from Hurricane stated. “But everyone looks like they’re having an awesome time! This was a great idea, I hope they do it again!”
The rest of this week is filled with Homecoming events such as Forever Red, a tailgate party and the big football game. For a more detailed schedule, visit the SUU Homecoming page.
