Southern Utah University is hosting a Neon Dance on September 21 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the Sharwan Smith Student Center Ballroom. Wear your brightest outfit ,and get in for free with your student card. Two DJ’s will battle it out from 6:30-7:00 p.m. Each DJ will get 10 minutes to perform then the audience will cast their vote on who is the better DJ.
“I am most excited about the DJ battle since it is something we have never done,” said Alexis Hacking, a junior studying Biology from Cleveland Ohio, and director of the SPB.
The winner of the DJ battle will open the 90’s dance later this semester.
At 7:00 p.m., the band comes on! The Boy Band Project will be doing covers from boy bands past and present. From NSYNC, to Big Time Rush, to One Direction, they do it all. The Boy Band Project puts on unique and authentic performances, each performance is hilarious and nostalgic, fun and entertaining.
Hacking is excited about them as well saying, “I am also really excited to see the Boy Band Project perform because of their energy that they bring!”
Who doesn’t want to get down to boy band hits past and present? Jamming to NSYNC and One Direction is bound to bring life and laughter to the party. The Boy Band Project really brings those old hits back to life with outstanding performances complete with your favorite songs and dance moves to go along with them.
So come on down to the ballroom this Friday to vote on your favorite DJ, rock out to all your favorite boy band songs, and hang out with your fellow T-birds in your brightest neon colors!
