The Thunderbird football program has announced that their 2018 Pro Day will be held on March 27 at Desert Hills High School.
This will be the third year in a row the Thunderbirds have held a Pro Day, and the third straight year it has been held in St. George.
At the end of the 2017-18 season, the Thunderbirds had five players either on National Football League rosters or practice squads (James Cowser, Oakland Raiders; Miles Killebrew; Detroit Lions; Raysean Pringle, Green Bay Packers; LeShaun Sims; Tennessee Titans; Josh Thornton, Houston Texans).
The Thunderbirds are coming off a second run to a Big Sky Championship, and have a number of players from that team with professional football aspirations.
It is anticipated that current or former student-athletes from Dixie State will participate in the Pro Day as well.
The event will run tentatively from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the 27th.
