Kilbourne-Poulsen and Baxter met each other in elementary school, but they didn’t start playing music together until their late teens. Baxter was in a band at the time that was in need of a bassist, so he called up Kilbourne-Poulsen. Right after Valentine’s Day wrapped up, the Southern Utah University Student Programming Board brought a whole new vibe to campus with a Mardi Gras event on Feb. 17. Students were invited to relax, socialize and experience the festive spirit of Carnival in the Alumni Center Great Hall. Outlaw is a post-punk band based in Cedar City featuring Caleb Lameman on guitar and vocals, Willow Lee on drums and Rafael Arredondo on bass. The band came together one month before their first show in October 2025 at the Neon Duck in Cedar City. They wrote a 20-minute set in four weeks.
