Multiple small earthquakes occurred near Kanarraville on Saturday, Jan. 24. The first one happened at 6 a.m. and was measured as a 2.5 magnitude quake. The second quake happened about 20 minutes later with a 2.6 magnitude. A total of four earthquakes happened with the third and fourth quakes measuring at a magnitude of 3.
All four of the earthquakes’ epicenters were located east of Kanarraville. The first was six miles due east; the second, seven miles south-southeast; the third, a little over two miles south-southeast; the fourth, over seven miles due east.
The second and fourth quakes had depths reported around 10 km, while the first and third were reported to have a depth around -2.
