Cedar City’s concert lineup 1/27-1/31/26

Southern Utah has a vibrant live music scene, so here are some opportunities to experience it this week!

Tuesday, Jan. 27: 

The Johnson Arts Center at 59 N. 100 W. will present its weekly SokHop performance. Community members can gather to hear live local music for $5. This week’s bands are Slug Fuzz and Corbino, both currently based in Southern Utah. These musicians will entertain concertgoers with punk and rock tunes at 7:15 p.m.

Friday, Jan. 30:

Violinist Aubree Oliverson will perform at SUU’s Throley Recital Hall as part of the Satellite Salon Series. She’s played with the Chamber Orchestra of New York at Carnegie Hall and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, amongst other notable performances, and is now bringing her classical talents to Cedar City. This show is free and open to the public and will begin at 7:30 p.m. 

Saturday, Jan. 31:

Calling all headbangers and moshers; the Neon Duck at 142 N 1000 W will host a slew of local metal rock bands at their Heavy Hitters Show. The event will feature performances from Horizontally Blessed, Outlaw, Two Steps Ahead and Post Human Democracy. The concert starts at 7 p.m. and entry is $5.

The Willow Glen Resort at 3308 N. Bulldog Rd. will host various artists for their weekly open mic night. The Roadhouse Wranglers will kick the evening off with a performance at 7 p.m., after which anyone is welcome to get up on stage and share their talents.
