SUU’s Campus to Career event is a boarding pass to success

Ready to board the next flight T-Birds? The Campus to Career networking event is happening next week, on Jan. 29. It will take place in the Convention Center of the Sharwan Smith Student Center from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The event is designed to connect students with alumni and career professionals. The workshop offers a chance to jumpstart one’s professional journey by embarking on a flight plan filled with practical advice.

Upon arrival, participants will receive a “T-Bird Boarding Pass” to then rotate through six interactive stations, spending 10 minutes at each. These stations will be led by alumni, allowing students to engage in meaningful conversations and receive advice to prepare for life after graduation.

Stations will include:

Resume Runway, featuring walk-in resume reviews and a free professional headshot.

What Recruiters Really Look For, which provides insider hiring perspectives.

Your Digital Footprint, focused on improving online presence.

Decoding Your Benefits, explaining topics such as 401k plans, health savings accounts and paid time off.

From Dorm to Your Own Place, offering insight from a realtor.

Networking Minus the Awkward, which emphasizes building authentic professional connections.

The event will conclude with refreshments, giveaways and additional time for conversation with alumni and peers.

To participate, students should RSVP and reserve a spot through this form. For more information, check the Southern Utah University Alumni and Career Center websites.
