New Mexico State
The Aggies are looking to bounce back after a slow start to the season. New Mexico State is 1-5 on the year and 0-2 on the road.
One of their biggest roadblocks has been offensive production. New Mexico State is scoring 51.7 points per game and has a -18 point differential.
Despite the struggles on offense, the Aggies have two different players that have made a big impact. Senior forward Lucia Yenes is their leading scorer, averaging 14.7 points per game and shooting 43.2% from the field.
Junior guard Imani Warren is first on the team with 16 total assists and second with 10 points per game. Warren also leads the team with 10 steals on the year.
Colorado State
Like Southern Utah, Colorado State is on a hot start to begin the year, sitting at 7-1. After starting the year on a seven-game win streak, they lost their most recent game 62-60 against Stanford University.
The leader of this Rams team has been Lexus Bargesser. The senior guard from Grass Lake, Michigan is averaging 15.6 points a game and is second on the team with 22 total assists.
Bargesser has also made an impact on the defensive end. She leads the team with seven blocks and is second on the team with 11 steals on the year.
