Welcome Thunderbirds, to another week in Cedar City, Utah. Fall is in full swing here at Southern Utah University, and with that comes shorter days, longer nights and colder weather.
The beginning of October brought lower temperatures and brief bouts of rainfall, which is a common occurrence in the area this time of year.
If you love wearing hoodies and light jackets, then prepare for Monday, Oct. 13. The weather is forecasted to be partly cloudy, with a high of 64 degrees Fahrenheit and a slight chance of rain.
The mild autumn weather is predicted to continue through Tuesday, Oct. 14, before cooling down a bit on Wednesday, Oct. 15, where the high is expected to be around 56 degrees Fahrenheit. There will be a 22% chance of precipitation . The partial cloud covering makes for a good day to curl up in a blanket and watch your favorite fall movies.
For those of you who don’t love the rain and clouds, have no fear, because blue skies and sunny days make up the weekend forecast. Temperatures are expected to hover around the low 60s.
Wind speeds are expected to remain low for the week. Wednesday is currently forecasted to hold the highest wind speed at about 14 mph.
