The Southern Utah University women’s golf team competed in the Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational Mar. 7-9, in St. George, Utah, at the Sunbrook Golf Club. The Thunderbirds finished tied No.8 out of 12 teams with a final score of +43.
Top teams
– Northern Arizona University finished in first place with a score of +7.
– University of California, Riverside finished at +9 over par, placing them in second place.
– Stetson University came in third place with a +11.
Top individuals
– Northern Arizona’s Lizzie Neale finished No.1 with a -3.
–Stetson’s Isaki Sakashita finished in second with a -2.
–Montana State Universities Scarlet Weidig and Utah Tech’s Samantha Phelan tied for third with a 0.

– Siriporn (Orchid) Luangnam finished tied for No.10 with a +4.
– Excel Thalangkarn finished tied for No. 25 with a +8.
– Anais Guibal finished tied for No. 40 with a +12.

What’s next?
Southern Utah will compete in the Red Rocks Invitational that starts Thursday, Mar. 13 through Sunday, Mar. 16. The match will take place in Sedona, Arizona, at the Oak Creek Country Club.
