Flippin’ Birds headed to California for NCAA regionals

On Monday, March 25, the Southern Utah University gymnastics team was selected to participate in the California Regional hosted by the University of California, Berkeley.

The Flippin’ Birds will compete against San Jose State University on Thursday, April 4, at 4 p.m. MDT. If SUU wins, they will compete in round two of regionals against California Berkeley, Auburn University and Stanford University. 

Individual performers
Southern Utah’s stellar season paid off, as they qualified five gymnasts as individual competitors.

— MPSF Gymnast of the Year Niya Randolph was named as an all-around competitor.
— Sophomore Kayla Pardue will be a specialist on the vault.
— Isabella Neff will compete on the bars.
— Ellie Cacciola and Kennedi McClain will participate on the beam.
