Business Lunch and Learn: Fidelity Investments

The Southern Utah University Leavitt School of Business hosted Fidelity Investments, a financial services corporation, for a Lunch and Learn event on March 13. Lunch and Learn events are guest presentations that allow students to network and learn from companies about post-graduate internship opportunities and career paths while enjoying a free lunch.

The presentation covered a variety of paid summer internships that Fidelity Investments offers to business school students to help them get an understanding of what working for their company is like. While they are a finance-based company, they provide internships to over 1,000 business students per year, regardless of major.

Fidelity Investments also highlighted the various career opportunities within their organization. The first couple of months after being hired consist of training that will earn employees the investment licenses needed to progress in the company. After training, employees begin working with current clients and decide on a specific career path. For full-time employees, Fidelity Investments offers up to $15,000 in student loan relief. They also offer up to $5,000 per year to help employees obtain a master’s degree.
