Former Thunderbird Killebrew re-signs with the Steelers

On Wednesday, March 13, per ESPN’s Jeremy Fouler, the Pittsburgh Steelers re-signed Miles Killebrew to a two-year, $6.5 million deal.

Killebrew’s contract is the largest of any former Thunderbird, passing LeShaun Sims’ one-year, $1.7 million deal with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2020.

The new contract comes after a season in which Killebrew made the Pro Bowl and First-Team All Pro as a special-teamer.

Killebrew played four seasons at Southern Utah University prior to being drafted by the Detroit Lions in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL draft. He played in Detroit for five seasons before signing with the Steelers on March 24, 2021.

He was named the special team’s captain for the Steelers in their 2023-24 campaign, where he totaled 26 total tackles and 21 solo tackles.
