Missing Elderly Adult With Dementia: Carol Stratton

The Cedar City Police Department and surrounding communities are currently looking for a 71-year-old Carol Stratton. She is non-verbal and has dementia. She was last seen near 3700 W 4000 N in Cedar City at 2 p.m. on Saturday Oct. 26.

Stratton is 5’2 and approximately 115 lbs. She was last seen wearing an orange and blue

sweater, red hat, and a large jeweled necklace. It is unknown which direction she was walking, so surrounding areas are being investigated.

The Iron Country Police Department has been looking extensively starting from the area she was last seen. A search team made up of 120 public volunteers and 30 volunteers from Iron County Search and Rescue were assembled yesterday, Oct. 27. Similar search parties have been assembled today, Oct. 28 and will be ongoing until further notice.

Iron County Police have teamed up with SUU aviation to get a birds-eye view. They also have a drone flying over the surrounding area at night to further the search. 

“The public is welcome to come out and help search,” said Lieutenant Del Schlosser of the Iron County Police Department.
