Brett Young Live at SUU

Founders Week celebrations continued with the SUU Alumni House hosting Brett Young Live In Concert in the America First Event Center on March 21, 2019.

Originally a sold out show, the day of the concert two more rows of seats were opened to the public. Audience members included both people of the community as well as SUU students and faculty. SUU President Scott Wyatt and his wife Kathy were also in attendance.

Brett Young began the concert with, “Here Tonight,” which had all the audience members on their feet. Young was both charismatic and lively during the entire performance.

The highlight of the night was when Brett Young went into the audience to interact and sing with his fans.

Tevita Loamanu, a junior business management major helped usher the event and part of his job was to follow Brett Young into the crowd.

“I had to follow him and I felt like his apprentice,” Loamanu said with a laugh. “But the concert was awesome! He sounds exactly the same on his tracks. He loved getting the crowd involved. He is not just up there singing, you can tell he really loves his job.”
