Students Unwind with Campus Connect

This month’s SUUSA’s Campus Connect, on Tuesday, Feb. 26th, was a place for students to go and relax. Different stations were set up throughout the Ballroom, offering different activities such as painting and making lip scrubs.

The Writing Center employees were in attendance offering free journals and writing prompts, as well as informing students of the Writing Center’s hours. There was also an Instagram giveaway that students could participate in for a chance to win different spa baskets.

Megan Colton, a freshman studying Human Development, said, “I was excited about winning a prize and thought it would be a fun event to go to with my friends.”

In an adjoining room, students participated in guided meditation. There was a photo station where friends could get their pictures taken and printed. This event was unique in the fact that it was very calm and relaxing compared to the more upbeat events seen on campus.

Hannah Bleak, a freshman studying english education, said, “I like that this event offered a variety of activities for us to engage in.”

Students relaxed while they snacked on fruit and cookies and listened to music.

Campus Connect is held every month. For more information on future events visit SUUSA’s facebook page.
