CEDAR CITY, Utah– The SUU women’s basketball team dropped the last of a four-game homestand against the Idaho Vandals 82-70 on Saturday afternoon at the America First Event Center.
Bre Reid led the T-Birds, scoring 19 points and dishing out three assists. Ashley Larsen followed with 12 points and nine rebounds.

The teams went back and forth in the first half before Idaho took a 37-32 heading into the break. Lizzy Kinkler led the Vandals scoring eleven points in the first half. She would end up with 17 points in the contest.
Idaho shot 51 percent from the field in the second half, including 4-for-9 from behind the arc. SUU finished the second half at 44 percent from the field, shooting 15-for-34.
Rebecca Cardenas and Jessica Chatman both scored double-digits with 12 and 10 points respectively.

The loss leaves the Lady T-Birds at 6-14 overall and 3-8 in conference play. They head to Weber State and Idaho State next week before returning home on Feb. 14 to face the Sacramento State Hornets.
