The Southern Utah University Student Association (SUUSA) held their weekly senate meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 29 to go over current campus issues.
SUUSA re-opened the discussion on designated smoking areas once again today after tabling the issue at last week’s meeting. The committee decided to table the issue and reconvene next Tuesday.
SUUSA is hosting a series of events to celebrate Identity Week. The goal is to promote social inclusion on campus.
Campus Connect will be held tonight from 7-9 pm p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom. Students will be able to interact with SUUSA members and free food will be provided.
Friends and Faith will be held in the rotunda on Wednesday, Jan. 30. Multiple religions will be represented and members of each will get to mingle with each other.
The Spectrum of Gender and Sexual Identity will take place from 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31 in the Living Room. Also on Thursday, The Asia Project will be held at 7 p.m. in the Ballroom.
We’re All T-Birds will round out Identity Week from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Living Room.
For those interested in becoming more involved on campus, SUUSA Senate meetings are held every Tuesday in the Sterling Church Auditorium at 11:30 a.m .
