SUUSA Senate Meeting 11/13

The Southern Utah University Student Association (SUUSA) held their weekly meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 13 to go over current campus issues.

SUUSA will be informing students on how they can run for office at SUU. Those interested are invited to attend the panel presentation Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. in the Leavitt Center.

SUUSA is holding a Shark Tank event on Nov. 15 at 11:30 a.m. in the Student Center Living Room. Students will get the chance to present their ideas on improving campus and free food will be provided. A winner will be picked, where they will receive funding to implement their idea on campus.

SUUSA announced plans for a Sexual Assault Awareness Week to take place Jan. 31 to Feb. 4, 2019. Events will be held throughout the week in order to shed light on the issue and will give students the opportunity to brainstorm ideas to improve the situation.

SUUSA is working on a motion that would make it mandatory for SUU professors to publish grades on Canvas. The issue will continue to be examined moving forward.

For those interested in becoming more involved on campus, SUUSA Senate meetings are held every Tuesday in the Sterling Church Auditorium at 11:30 a.m.
