CEDAR CITY, Utah — Southern Utah University Athletics and Athletic Director Debbie Corum have announced the elevation of Jeff Tukuafu to Assistant Athletic Director of Operations/Facilities.
Prior to this position, Tukuafu served as the Director of Football Operations from March of 2016 to the announcement of the advancement.
“Jeff embodies the core values of Southern Utah University Athletics: passion for SUU, integrity, and a work ethic of commitment for student-athlete success,” Corum said. “Jeff will be a valuable asset as an athletic administrator. I am looking forward to working with him in this new capacity.”
In his new position Tukuafu will serve as the sport supervisor for Southern Utah’s football, men’s and women’s golf teams. He will also oversee facilities and scheduling aspects for all Thunderbird sports.
As Director of Football Operations, Tukuafu handled a number of day-to-day responsibilities for the Thunderbirds including scheduling for the student-athletes, travel, overseeing practice operations and issuing gear.
Tukuafu also had a successful playing career at Southern Utah, suiting up for the football team from 2008-11.
Jeff is married to Amie Tukuafu.
