The weather outside might still be chilly, but make no mistake: spring is just around the corner! For college students who survive most of the year on ramen noodles and caffeine, why not celebrate the changing seasons with some springtime treats?
Raspberry Lemonade Slushie
For this sweet treat, you will need:
12 ounces or about two handfuls of raspberries if you want it to really taste like berries
1 cup of sugar or a substitute of your choice
½ cup of lemon juice
5 cups of ice cubes
Directions
Toss it all in a blender and blend until you have yourself a slushie, a nice healthy drink with a sweet spring taste!
Now onto dessert.
Spring Meadow Desert
To make this, you will need:
1 box of chocolate pudding mix
3 cups of milk
1 package of Oreos
3 cups of shredded coconut
Green food coloring
Peeps Bunnies
Candy eggs of your choice
Directions
1.Start off by mixing the box of pudding mix with the three cups of milk.
2.Once you have your pudding ready to go, move it into the dish you plan to serve it in.
3.Next, take that pack of Oreo cookies and crumble them on top of the pudding base. Use as many of the cookies as you want. The more Oreos there are, the more crunch there will be later.
4.Put your shredded coconut in a separate bowl and mix in the green food coloring to create some spring grass.
5.Once your grass is the desired color, go ahead and dump it on top of your crushed Oreos.
Now you have your meadow, it’s time to decorate!
Take your Peeps Bunnies and place them on your meadow. Now your candy eggs. I used Robins Eggs because those are my favorite, but if they aren’t your cup of tea then choose whichever is your favorite.
Enjoy springing into the new season with these delicious treats!
