Preview: Cedar City Temple Open House

The First Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS) announced the dates for the Cedar City Utah Temple open house.

During the LDS Church’s General Conference on April  2013 President Thomas S. Monson, president of the LDS Church, announced the construction. On August 8, 2015 the ground for construction was broken at 300 S. Cove Drive in Cedar City.

This is the Church’s seventeenth temple in the state of Utah and the 158th worldwide.

The open house is free to the general public from Oct. 27 to Nov. 18., and is open Monday through Saturday and closed on Sunday in observance of the Sabbath.

A celebration is planned for Saturday, Dec. 9. The event features music and dance performed by the LDS youth of the local area.

Following is the temple dedication on, Dec. 10. The dedications starts at 9 a.m., then at noon and finally at 3 p.m.
