Southern Utah’s Kasey Knevelbaard has been name Big Sky Men’s Cross Country Athlete of the Week, following the No. 14 T-Birds victory at the UC Riverside Invitational.
Knevelbaard finished in 4th on the final results with a time of 24:03.5. His teammate, Josh Collins, finished with the same time but Knevelbaard was given credit for the higher placement.
Knevelbaard is no stranger to winning Athlete of the Week awards. During the 2016-17 season, Knevelbaard pulled in the award during cross country, indoor track and field and outdoor track and field seasons.
He pulled in three AOTW honors during the 2016 cross country season. This is his fourth career cross country award from the Big Sky Conference.

The Thunderbirds will return to action next week, when they will compete at the Notre Dame Invitational.
