The USTFCCCA (U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association) National Poll has been updated and the Southern Utah men’s team has been ranked No. 14 in the country.
The men’s team has moved up two spots in the polls in week two, they were previously ranked No. 16 in the week one polls.
Head coach Eric Houle said this is the highest ranking we have had in this stage of the game.
“I think our ranking is a testimony to how we ran this past weekend and how hard we have trained,” Houle said. “To be in the top-15 shows that we could be a contender on the national stage.”
There was no change at the top of the polls with Northern Arizona, Stanford and Syracuse holding the top three spots.
The T-Birds are ranked ahead of Colorado State, UCLA, Indiana and Michigan State who rounded out the top 30.
The SUU men will be competing at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational on September 29. The women’s team will be heading to the Sacramento Capital Cross Challenge on September 30.
