The annual Washington County Fair is set to begin this weekend on April 10. The fair will run until Saturday, April 18. It will take place at Legacy Park in Hurricane, Utah.
The Washington County Fair is the county’s longest running event, with 2026 marking 165 years of the celebration. This year will also be celebrating America’s 250th anniversary. Because of this, fair admission is free for all attendees.
The fair will have a large variety of booths, activities and experiences for attendees to participate in.
Popular attractions include the carnival, in which attendees can enjoy rides and treats, as well as unique vendors that can be found throughout the fair. These vendors provide specialty-made goods and one-of-a-kind items handcrafted by members of the community.
Alongside the weeklong activities, special events are set to occur throughout the week. Some of these events include the rodeo, which is set to occur on Saturday, April 11 at 7 p.m., and the demolition derby, which will signal the close of the fair on April 18.
The Washington County Fair remains one of the most popular events in Southern Utah, drawing around 60,000 attendees every year, 25% of which come from outside the county. Along with that, the fair was named “Best of Southern Utah Annual Event” for 2024 and 2025.
“The Fair continues to be a cornerstone celebration that honors the region’s heritage while energizing its future,” the fair’s website reads.
