Brian Head Ski Resort remains open for the winter season

Brian Head Ski Resort remains open despite the warmer temperatures in the Cedar Valley. Brian Head has the highest base elevation in Utah at 9600 feet, allowing snow to last longer into the season.

Seven of the eight lifts are operating, along with 80% of all terrain open.

The base still has 37 feet of snow, and spring conditions create softer snow in the afternoons.

Ski passes are available at the lowest price of the season, $99, and they carry over to next season as well. Lift tickets are currently as low as $14 through May, but it is recommended to buy in advance to get the deal.

The estimated closing date for the season is May 10 if conditions remain.

Many ski resorts in the West are experiencing early closures due to the warm temperatures and lack of snow.

There are a variety of  Brian-Head-favorite events happening in April, including an easter egg hunt on the 5, a costume slalom on the 11, a cardboard box race on the 18 and the pond skim on the 25.
