Experience a poetry reading and participate in a discussion with renowned poets at the Artisans Art Gallery on Friday, March 27, from 3 to 5 p.m. This event is open to the public and admission is free. Award-winning poets who will be reading include: Geoffrey Babbitt, Kathryn Cowles, Cindy King and Jami Macarty.
Geoffrey Babbitt will be reading from his collection of poetry, “A Grain of Sand in Lambeth,” which was the winner of the 2023 Betsy Joiner Flanagan Prize.
Kathryn Cowles will be reading from her collection “The Strange Wondrous Works of Eleanor Eleanor,” which won the 2025 Fence Modern Poets Series Prize.
Cindy King’s reading will feature poems from “Fever Coat,” which won the 2023 C&R Press Poetry Award.
Jami Macarty will be reading from her collection “The Long Now Conditions Permit,” which won the 2023 Test Site Poetry Prize.
