SUU International Affairs holds an Easter Cultural Showcase

The event venue was decorated with Easter-themed stickers and ribbons, creating a warm festive vibe. Drawings, painting tools, beads and snacks were also provided. It gave students the occasion to get together and break the ice around activities.

“We’re having Easter celebrations around the world,” said the event organizer, Melissa Montiano. “So we are highlighting different countries and how they celebrate Easter. It’s good to bring cultural awareness, and just bring people together.”

Along with that there were games such as ring tossing, passing the ping-pong ball and a “Chubby Bunny” contest. Amidst the joy and laughter, more and more people participated in the event.

“Watching (students) play, and then how you guys love, stuffing things with colors, and other things. It was really wonderful,” said Emeli Fangupo, a student watching the games, “I really like this kind of event, like getting involved and meeting new friends.”

This event not only enabled international students to experience the warmth of the festival, but also built a bridge for cross-cultural communication through games and interactions, allowing the traditions of Easter to regain new vitality amid laughter and joy.
