The Southern Utah University Student Association elections for the 2026-2027 school year closed last night at 5 p.m. Here are next school years’ executive council and student senate members:
— Student Body President: Kenzie Porter
— Executive Vice President: Keegan Dickinson
— Clubs and Organizations VP: Lincoln Huckaby
— Finance VP: Paiton Christensen
— Academic VP: Grace Ash
— Business Senator: Isaac Byrd
— Education and Human Development Senator: Phillip Cheney
— Health Sciences Senator: Alyssa Bright
— Humanities and Social Sciences Senator: Rylie Creager
— Performing and Visual Arts Senator: Taysia Luke
— Science, Technology Engineering and Math Senator: Madison Julien
Other executive council positions are appointed by the Student Involvement and Leadership Center because they require specific skills and experience. This includes Judicial VP, Marketing VP, Programming VP, Campus Culture and Relations VP and Athletics Engagement VP. These will be filled by March 27. Kenzie Porter, the elected 2026-2027 student body president, is excited for the upcoming school year.
“Through this whole process of campaigning, I’ve gotten to speak to a ton of students about their concerns and the things they care about, and I’m really looking forward to having conversations that will help them,” she said. “I honestly can’t wait.”
