Thunderbirds Weather Forecast: Feb. 23 – March 1

This last week, Cedar City, Utah, received heavy storms and accumulated roughly three to four inches of snow. After a week of cold wind and icy roads, the weather forecast is looking up with sunny skies and warmer temperatures.

Monday, Feb. 23, will have a high of 55 degrees Fahrenheit with partly cloudy conditions, a huge increase from last week where temperatures only reached the low 30s.

This forecast will continue through Wednesday, Feb. 25. Going into the weekend, temperatures will increase to an average high of 60 degrees Fahrenheit and mostly sunny conditions.

Precipitation chances are low, and wind speeds are not likely to exceed 10 mph.

Despite the warm days, the low temperatures for the week are forecasted in the low 30s to high 20s. This can cause slick roads that require caution when traveling in the early mornings. Residents are also advised to be aware of potential leaks and water damage within their homes after the week of rain and snow.

The increase in temperatures creates the perfect opportunity for locals to visit some of Cedar City’s outdoor activities. Students and residents can stop by a local farmers market, visit a park or take a walk on one of the Thunderbird Garden trails
