Love was in the air at Brian Head Resort this Valentine’s Day. Their first-ever chairlift speed dating event brought in over 50 singles to mingle and meet one another. The resort witnessed another lovely moment when a guest proposed while visiting the slopes.
Dallas Insheiwat proposed to his girlfriend Aubrie Rammell at the top of the Giant Steps lift. While living nearby in St. George, Utah, the couple visited the resort frequently.
“I chose this spot to propose because it was her favorite place in the world,” said Insheiwat.
While not everyone visited the resort with their special someone, singles were invited to participate in chairlift speed dating from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Valentine’s Day. Individuals were paired for six-minute conversations on their ride up the mountain. Those who hit it off would continue to ski and ride together, and others would transfer to a new chair for a new pairing.
Registration for the chairlift speed dating was free, and participants even received a 50% discount voucher for Last Chair Grill & Brews to visit with one of their new dates.
“Experience a playful, low-pressure way to meet new people right on the mountain,” said the Brian Head website.
Brian Head Resort has plans to make chairlift speed dating an annual occurrence. However, this has not been officially scheduled and announced by officials.
