Southern Utah University’s graduate and online departments launched a new podcast named Friday Career Connection. The audio program airs every Friday at noon on Zoom, and it features guest speakers from diverse professional backgrounds.
The podcast is designed to help both online and on-campus students proactively manage their careers by offering an accessible platform to grasp industry trends, leadership strategies and professional development.
“Career outcomes are the primary reason people pursue a college education,” said podcast host Tad Brinkerhoff. “By bringing experienced leaders and career experts to the table, we provide our students with practical advice and networking perspectives that are essential in today’s job market.”
The program is also available to a broad Utah collegiate community, as well as to partner institutions, including Southern Virginia University. This wide access showcases SUU’s commitment to students’ success and reinforces the aim to support them as they prepare for life after graduation.
With a long lineup, Friday Career Connection is an opportunity for students to engage with a wide range of experts. Upcoming speakers are Penny Farms Partner Brandon Day on Jan. 16 and Executive Career Coach Jen Anderson on Jan. 23.
Students and community members interested in viewing the podcast can visit the SUU online events website to register. Recordings of past sessions are also available online. For questions or more information, contact goinfo@suu.edu.
