Brian Head Resort releases updates on lifts, attractions and more

Brian Head Resort has been open for the 2025-2026 season since Nov. 21. After a rocky first month, the resort is now opening more ski lifts while new expansions to some of the well-known locations have recently been completed.

This winter’s lack of snowfall left multiple lifts and trails closed for the beginning of the season. As of the end of December, Giant Steps, Wildflower, Navajo and more have officially opened. Brian Head still advises skiers to be aware of unmarked hazards as early-season conditions persist.

The Brian Head Mall, home to multiple eateries and shops, has recently implemented 9,000 square feet of expansion, with new attractions opened as of late 2025. This includes restaurants, a ski shop and condos.

This weekend, Brian Head will also begin their brand new program, “Ski with a Ranger.” Ranger-led tours will be held on the second Friday of each month, and they provide the opportunity to learn about local geology and forest health and safety. The program is free to attend with the purchase of a lift ticket or season pass.

“During these on-mountain tours, rangers will explain how beetle outbreaks develop, why proactive thinning and replanting are critical to reducing wildfire risk and how healthy forests protect the on-mountain environment for a more enjoyable skiing experience,” said Brian Head Resort.
