A southern Utah man died after being hit by a car in Washington County.
On Saturday, Nov. 15, La Verkin police were called to an auto-pedestrian accident. The man was hit by a vehicle traveling south when crossing State Route 9 near 100 South.
First responders on the scene provided medical attention to the man. The man was transported to St. George Regional Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The Hurricane Police Department, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Hurricane Valley fire and rescue were also on the scene of the accident.
“Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of everyone involved,” La Verkin Police said in a press conference.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The driver has not been charged.
