Southern Utah University Outdoors is hosting three upcoming trips in November through December. These trips include visits to Zion National Park, Squirrel Creek and Snow Canyon National Park. Students are encouraged to sign up, join the fun and experience the great outdoors.
On Nov. 8, SUU Outdoors will hike Zion National Park and see the vast red-rock. Nov. 15-16, the staff will take students backpacking through Squirrel Creek. Lastly, on Dec. 6, students will enjoy scenery while hiking Snow Canyon State Park.
Sign-ups are due two Mondays before the scheduled trip dates. A sign up fee for Squirrel Creek is required due to the trip’s required equipment.
SUU Outdoors’ vision is “To connect students with place, people and purpose through meaningful adventure-based experiences,” as said on their webpage.
Students can sign up at the SUU Outdoors basecamp located in the Sharwan Smith Student Center.
Rentals for personal student trips can also be purchased. Available rentals include climbing gear, rafting supplies, snow sports equipment and more. Students can also speak with an SUU Outdoors staff member to answer any questions about trips, rentals and other services they may provide.
“Our efforts are geared to help enhance and develop the lives of the SUU Community,” said SUU Outdoors.
Although there are only 3 current available trips, SUU Outdoors is constantly planning new trips for students. Updates will be provided on their Instagram.
